Introduction
Disappearance and Betrayal...
The World Situation in 2010
The first large-scale war of 21st Century in Middle East had ended the criticism from many nations seemed to be the main cause. The research on petroleum deposit in the Middle East had not met the expectation the big powers have concluded that possessing the oil in the Middle East would not prove the economical problems. Hence, all multi-national forces positioned in the Middle East have withdrawn. After the war, the big powers turned to Africa and South America where there still were much undeveloped environmental resources. However, these continents were divided up into different ethnicities and ideologies; frequent> battles between them prevented energy companies to enter. These companies then requested other countries to intervene and solve the problems. Energy companies have supplied the money for military, and the big powers formed an alliance for their own benefits and justification for cause of war. This alliance is the United Great Forces. (UG Forces is a new imperial alliance formed in order to benefit from battles between third-world countries.)
Coup and Civil War
Republic of Tanzirilo, located in “Sambat” of Mid-Africa used to be a German and French colony between 18th and 19th Century. The colonization made possible for Tanzirilo to keep low percentage of illiteracy; Tanzirilo made a great progress with its abundant resources. After WWII, Tanzirilo was able to escape colonization, but the low-illiteracy percentage became the cause of ideological dispute. This small country in Africa also faced the wave of communism. The brief but brutal civil war ended when the UN intervened, but the feudal monarchy also became history. (The monarchy took refuge in Republic of Congo) The Republic of Tanzirilo was finally born in 1961. However, that peaceful time did not last very long. Tanzirilo lost its popularity from the instability of surrounding nations, such as internal wars. The dissension of different cultural groups would shake the government. When the war in the Middle East became an international issue in 1991, no one
cared about a coup d’etat happened in a small country of Africa. Havaluna, who was then the secretary of treasure, had was then the secretary of had gained control of the army and successfully carried out the coup. The only person that opposed the coup was Adelraja, commander of 13th division, but the president and his regime had already fled out of the country. Ultimately, Adelraja retreated to Aduka, southern city of Tanzirilo. The new regime had engaged in several battles to get rid of the rebellion, but that moved the people’s heart towards Adelraja.
Massive Oil Deposit
Due to “Aduka Massacre,” UN has sent PKO forces in 1999. However, the passive peacekeeping operation did not help at all. (The late response by UN was criticized world wide, and the reputation of UG11 surpassed that of UN.) Although it was a late response by UN, its PKO calmed the civil war in Republic of Tanzirilo temporarily.
June, 2010
15 years had passed from the Aduka Massacre, and nobody could remember the immorality of the government. (The government, in order to be freed from the criticism of other nations, had stopped using biochemical weapons.)
An international corporation “Energy Tech” entered Tanzirilo with support from UN PKO force. The energy investigators then found massive deposits of oil near Aduka city, which was then left in ruins. This was appealing news to the big powers who have not gained any profit from the second Middle
Eastern war. (The rebellion force wanted to keep its reputation; it never intervened or attacked Energy Tech which was protected by UN PKO force.)
However, the discovered oil deposits were located in the deep territory of "Tanzirilo Liberation Force" led by Adelraja. With the civil war unfinished, the energy industry could not be set up in Tanzirilo. (Energy Tech wanted the end of civil war by intervention of UG11. For that reason, Energy Tech had been covertly supporting the money for dispatching UG11 troops.) From the views of big powers, a stable government was necessary in Tanzirilo, regardless of who the ruler was. The reason why they have not
intervened in the civil war before was to calculate the odds of victory, and to receive the justification for intervention. regardless of who the ruler was. The reason why they have not intervened in the civil war before was to calculate the odds of victory, and to receive the justification for intervention.
October, 2010
Assault against UN PKO Force from the rebels occurred. It was too artificial to be called a coincidence. A squadron of PKO Force that was patrolling the area of possible dispute had been killed by men seemed like the TLF. This spread the civil war of Tanzirilo, which had been quiet for a while. With this incident, the actual dispatch of UG11 began. (However, lieutenant colonel Jan Hawk would find out later that the Tanzirilean government was involved in this incident.)
